Registration

Registration is now open for the 2024 season. Read the instructions carefully. There are two fees payable, the Sydney Uni fee and the Hockey New South Wales fee. Remember our discounted early bird rates end 31 March!

Every player must be registered before taking the field. If you are new to the club, email the Women’s VP Maya before registering at womenshockey@suhc.asn.au

2024 Trials and Pre-season

Please follow the below steps to register your interest for our 2024 trials and preseason:
  1. Complete our express of interest form and RSVP to trial dates.
  2. Join our Whatsapp Community here to keep up-to-date with all important announcements and key dates.
  3. Register here. Early bird prices are available until March 31 and you must be registered with HNSW before you step onto the field. This will include any friendly matches against other clubs being played in March.

Welcome and Join Us

Welcome to Sydney Uni Hockey Club! As one of Sydney’s largest women’s hockey clubs, we can cater for all players both competitive and social in one of our nine teams.

We would love to have you join us for the season (season beginning early April). Everyone is welcome at SUHC, you don’t have to be a student of the university.

Training Times

Trainings are held on weeknights at our Bruce Pryor Field in Lidcombe.

  • 1s: Monday 6.30pm to 8.30pm and Wednesdays 6.30pm to 8.00pm
  • 2s and 3s: Wednesdays 7:30pm to 9pm
  • 4s, 5s and Lions: Tuesdays 6:30pm to 8pm
  • 6s (ML6 and SEHA teams): Tuesdays 7.30pm to 8:30pm

Training Times

Competitions

Our women’s teams play in two competition leagues that are both played on Sundays. Our top five teams and one of our two 6s teams play in the Sydney Metro League (starting April) organised by the Sydney Women’s Hockey League (SWHL).

Our second 6s team and two social teams, SUHC Lions and SUHC Gold, play in the Sydney East Hockey Association (SEHA) competition.

Games for both leagues are played at turfs across the Sydney Metropolitan area.

Social

At Sydney Uni Hockey Club we believe it is important to have fun both on and off the field. Our players enjoy a range of casual, social and formal functions yearly including New Players Night, BBQs, trivia, Uni Games, derby days and our end of year formal presentation.
