Registration

Registration is now open for the 2023 season. Read the instructions carefully. There are two fees payable, the Sydney Uni fee and the Hockey New South Wales fee. Remember our discounted early bird rates end 17 March!

Every player must be registered before taking the field. If you are new to the club, email the Men’s VP Nick before registering at menshockey@suhc.asn.au

Trials and Preseason

Preseason trials and training have completed for this year. If you are still looking for a club to join this season please contact the Men’s VP.

Training

Our Men’s teams will train on the following times in 2024 at our Bruce Pryor Field in Lidcombe:

  • PL1 1st Grade: Monday and Thursday PM 6:30-8pm
  • PL2 and PL3 2nd and 3rd grades Thursday 6:30-8pm
  • 4th – 7th Grade: Monday 6:30pm- 8pm

Welcome and Join Us

Welcome to Sydney Uni Hockey Club! We would love to have you join us.

We have elite and social players, so Sydney Uni is a club for anyone looking to have a great time and play a sport with friends and achieve their sporting goals. Anyone and everyone can play for Sydney Uni, you don’t have to be a student of the university.

Competitions

We currently field 7 teams in the Sydney Hockey Association. Our top three teams play in the Premier League. Our 4th grade to 7th grade play in the Sydney League. These competitions cater for elite players through to veterans as well as juniors.

Games for both leagues are played at turfs across the Sydney Metropolitan area on Saturdays. Further details can be found on the Sydney Hockey Association website here.

Social

SUHC has a fantastic array of casual, social and formal functions for teams and the club throughout the year.  Additionally the club enjoys: a new player night, BBQs, tours around the local Glebe and Newtown establishments, formal dinners, trivia nights, university games, formal presentation and club dinners, team dinners and derby days (great hockey, food, drinks and fun). We are going to have great camaraderie and fun with seven men’s and nine women’s teams!
