Holiday Program July 2024

A great opportunity for individual development as well as having fun during the holidays with experienced SUHC coaches.
Dates: Wednesday 10 & 17th July 5-7pm
Location: Bruce Pryor Hockey Field
Gate2, East Street, Lidcombe (Cumberland Campus)
Age: minimum age is 10 or turning ten in 2024.
Note: if you join SUHC for Term 3&4 for $150 + the Hockey NSW fee then afterwards you can enrol in the program below as a member for $0. If you want to join SUHC then click here , hit the blue register button and select Juniors Term 3&4.
Program cost for non-SUHC members: $100  Click here
Program cost for SUHC Junior members : $0  Click here
Only 2 memberships per family are required – Additional junior members are free.
Hockey NSW membership is required for the rest of 2024 which includes insurance.

Term 3 Junior Development Program 2024

A great opportunity to develop your hockey skills with exercises and practice games on quarter and half fields. Experienced and qualified coaches from SUHC premier teams will lead the program in a challenging and fun environment. Umpiring development also available during the term.
Dates: Fridays 26/7, 2/8, 9/8, 16/8, 23/8, 30/8, 6/9, 13/9, 20/9 4-6pm
Location: Bruce Pryor Hockey Field
Gate2, East Street, Lidcombe (Cumberland Campus)
Age: minimum age is 10 or turning ten in 2024.

U11s:
Time: Training time and days will be advised soon for pre-season and during the season.

U13s:

Time: Training time and days will be advised soon for pre-season and during the season.
Location: Bankstown Hockey Club at Mount St, Georges Hall New South Wales 2198

U15s and U17s:

Time: Training time and days will be advised soon for pre-season and during the season.
Location: Bankstown Hockey Club at Mount St, Georges Hall New South Wales 2198

Competitions

SUHC Juniors enters teams in the Sydney East Hockey Association (SEHA) competition. Venues include SUHC Bruce Pryor Field (Lidcombe), Moorebank, Daceyville, Sutherland, Kyeemagh and Bankstown. Competitions run from Mid-March until September, with games played on Friday nights or Saturday mornings.

Welcome to the family-friendly Sydney Uni Hockey Club!

SUHC is a club for any junior looking to have a great time and play a sport with their friends and achieve their sporting goals. Anyone and everyone can play for Sydney Uni: new players, current players, school boys and girls. We love taking everyone whether your junior is highly competitive, just likes being out playing sport or simply enjoys playing sport socially.

We have had juniors develop into NSW Arrows and Australian Hockeyroos. Join us and for any enquiries contact Laki at juniorhockey@suhc.asn.au

Active Kids Vouchers

SUHC is a supporter of the State Government’s Active Kids program. The Active Kids and Creative Kids voucher programs closed on 31 January 2024. From 1 February 2024, these were replaced with a new combined Active and Creative Kids Voucher program. With this change, you are required to apply for the new Active and Creative Kids program to accept the vouchers even if you have applied under the previous scheme. About the new program:

  • Registered club will be able to accept vouhers for eligible active or creative activities. 
  • There are two $50 vouchers for eligible school-aged children to use throughout the year. 
  • Families can find all registered clubs via the search tool on the Service NSW website. 
  • Vouchers will be available to those receiving Family Tax benefits only. 

Uniforms

Just Hockey Sydney provides our uniform and hockey equipment. This includes tops, skirts, shorts, socks and of course hockey shoes. They also have an excellent range of sticks, bags, goalie gear, gloves and masks. They are located in Olympic Park at the Hockey Centre.
Be sure to mention you are from Sydney Uni and the team will give you 10% off.

Elite Athlete Program – A pathway for juniors

At Sydney Uni our goal is to create a fun and positive environment for junior players to develop their skills and love for hockey. Additionally, we aim to expose our players to role models who realise their sporting dreams whilst successfully completing their tertiary education through the Elite Athlete Program (EAP).
