Crichton Smith hits 700

Another club milestone last weekend! Congratulations to Men’s 5th Grade (SL2) and Masters goalie Crichton Smith who played his 700th game for SUHC on Saturday.
Crichton first played for SUHC in 1999 and has been a very reliable keeper and field player in Men’s and Masters teams ever since. He was a foundation member of the Sydney Uni Masters team and one of the few players from that original team still playing.
Crichton has also played indoor hockey over the years so his overall game count is estimated to be over 1000. He was a recipient of the John Dwyer Tenacity award in 2007 and won a premiership with Sydney Uni 7th Grade in 2017.
Crichton continues to play as well as ever. In the Masters 3rd grade side he has kept 4 of 5 clean sheets helping his team to the top of the table.
It would be harder to find a more dedicated and reliable club person than Crichton, always stepping in to play extra games of goalkeeper when required and one of the few players who can run faster in full goalkeeping gear than without it.
Well done Crichton!
