Play For Sydney Uni

Sydney Uni players range from the most elite players, competitive club players, juniors stepping up to adult divisions, social players and beginners.

You don't have to be at Sydney Uni to play - anyone is welcome to join the club who has a passion and interest in hockey. In particular if you are a Sydney Uni student who wants to play hockey you must come and see us.

The competitions we play in cater for all abilities. The club partakes in the best competitions in Sydney and has excellent pathways to elite levels for committed players.

SUHC is an active social club so you get to enjoy great hockey and fantastic camaraderie. Join us and for any enquiries contact Sarah at

Divisions We Play In

SUHC covers the full range of abilities from our lower divisions all the up to our premier league teams in ML1 and ML2:

Further players can be accommodated if you are late to the season.


for Uniforms

Competitions

Sydney Uni women play in two  competitions. The first is the higher level Sydney  Metro  League (ML) run by Sydney Women's Hockey League (SWHL). Sydney Uni is one of the most competitive teams in the hot NSW competition.

The second competition is run by Sydney North Women's Hockey Association (SNWHA) and caters for all our other teams, both competitive play and social hockey.

If you are new to hockey we will help you find the right team for your abilities.

The Grand Finals occur in mid September.

Social Activities

SUHC has a fantastic array of casual, social and formal functions for teams and the club thoughout the year. Check out our Social page. Additionally the club enjoys: a new player night, BBQs, tours around the local Glebe and Newtown establishments, formal dinners, trivia nights, university games, formal presentation and club dinners and derby days (great hockey, food, drinks and fun).
