Aussie Aussie Aussie! Troy Troy Troy!

Former SUHC 1st grade goalie Troy Rossiter was part of the Australian Indoor team that came 4th at the World Indoor Hockey Championships recently. Click here for the Hockey Australia story and photo.

Indoor hockey's global appeal (even compared to outdoor hockey) is underlined by seeing Austria win Gold, Germany Silver and Iran Bronze, with Australia in 4th.

No-one has ever doubted Troy's amazing goalie skills. He was, after all, the SUHC goalie in December 2014 when we beat the unbackable favourites Moorebank, winners in 8 of the previous 10 years, to win the Sydney Indoor competition. (Remember?) Everyone in that Moorebank team  was or had been a NSW indoor rep, and all of them had won Australian Open and Under 21’s Championships. The team even had three then-current Australian indoor players, and one former Australian rep. But Troy kept them denying them goals, and the rest is history.

Congratulations again, Troy.
